INQ Announces Cloud Touch and Cloud Q Facebook Phones

Just as we covered the INQ Cloud Touch interface demo by Andrew Bennet, INQ has released not one but two “Facebook phones”, the Cloud Touch and Cloud Q, both being Androids.

The social mobiles are built for people that are using Facebook as their primary way of keeping contact and socializing, via INQ’s Visual Media Feed on top of Google Android. Giving up on text updates, the two Facebook phones are advertised to bring rich media feed to the homescreen.

The home screen features Facebook Chat, Friends, Messages, Wall and Notifications and the two devices are the first to use Facebook social graph API. As we’ve previously mentioned, the default media player on the Facebook phones is Spotify, as opposed to the default Android media player.

The INQ Cloud Touch runs Google Android 2.2 Froyo and has a 3.5-inch HGVA 480×320 pixels display, a Qualcomm 7227 processor running at 600MHz, 4MB of memory, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, 1300mAh battery, WiFi 802.11b/g — no WiFi N as we told you — Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, accelerometer, compass, ambient light and proximity sensors. The INQ Cloud Q is a QWERTY keyboard enabled 2.6-incher running the same Android 2.2 Froyo mobile platform.
