Custom ROMs Bring Froyo to Abandoned Xperia’s

If Sony won’t release Froyo for their Xperia line of Android-powered phones, maybe it’s time for us to take matters into our own hands.

That’s what some very talented developers thought! Most custom ROM development has centered around the flagship Xperia X10, but what of the X10 mini and Xperia X8? Luckily, they are now on the radar for custom ROMs, too! Though the ROMs aren’t yet stable, development is well under way.

Wi-Fi seems to be working fine across the board, but the camera (which always seems to be a sticking point) still has work to be done. Also, for you CyanogenMod fans, it looks as if these ROMs are based off those ROMs, which could mean eventually the phones could be placed on the CM “officially supported” list — and updates could flow quicker and easier in the future.
