In this episode of the Android Application Weekly we demonstrate some apps that will keep you entertained, help you calculate practically anything, and play movies over your home network. To download these directly to your Android device just take a picture of the QR-Code using Google Goggles or any other QR-Code scanner to be taken directly to the Android Market.

Want to see what yourself or any of your friends look like really chunky? Use Fatty Booth to take a picture of them, position the facial detection features, click next and have them transformed into a rather plump character. Shake your Android to have the photo reverted back to the original and share over social networks.


Moviefone – A free application


Moviefone is an easy to use do-it-all movie app that will help you choose that perfect movie to see in the theaters. View trailers, show times, theaters, get movie news and even ratings from fellow movie buffs. Don’t waste another $12 to see an abysmal movie again.


PlugPlayer – $4.99 for the full version


Watch movies, listen to music, and view photos over your Wi-Fi connected media server with PlugPlayer. This all-in-one app allows you to search through your media servers connected on your home network or internet shared router connection and stream directly to your Android device. Certain video encoded files may require Vplayer to be install.


Spaghetti and Marshmallows – Lite and $2.31 full


Spaghetti and Marshmallows is a really fun and addictive puzzle game. The object of the game is to build a structure out of marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti and place a marshmallow inside the rings. You are limited to the number of spaghetti and marshmallows so think rationally.
