HTC Pyramid Dual-core Android Coming To T-Mobile?
HTC is preparing a dual-core Android smartphone with a huge screen that will arrive to T-Mobile in the second quarter of the year, at least according to some rumors that surfaced today.
Sources that preferred to remain anonymous told AndroidAndMe that the Taiwanese manufacturer is working on a Google Android powered device that will sport Qualcomm’s brand new dual-core Snapdragon processor clocking at 1.2 GHz (MSM8260). In addition, it will pack a 4.3 inch quarter HD display — with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 960 x 540 resolution — and a radio that will support HSPA+ networks.
The smartphone is allegedly codenamed “Pyramid” and is set to hit T-Mobile either in May 2011, according to AndroidAndMe, or late Q2, according to TmoNews, which publishes the same story but from another source. We knew that the 1.2GHz Snapdragon will arrive sometime in Q1 2011 but we also knew that a certain 1.2GHz processor is headed to phones on Verizon.
