Nexus S Reboot Issue Acknowledged By Google

Early adopters of the Samsung-made Google Nexus S might have experienced random reboots while using the device on a daily basis, restarts which seem to be closely related to using the device as a phone and placing calls.

Up until recently, Google has ignored the issue and even blamed the manufacturer for an alleged hardware fault as it tried to make it clear that Android 2.3 Gingerbread was not the one responsible for the problems. Now Google seems to have managed to replicate the issue and is now stating that, together with Samsung, they are investigating so we might see a fix come out pretty soon.

The Nexus S was the first ever device to ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box, and, besides of its negligible flaws, it scored a four-out-of-five in our review.
