HTC has just released an official updated version of its Sync application for Android smartphones which is advertised to support all of the manufacturer’s Google Android powered devices.

The last update – version 3.0.5481 from November 2010 – only supported certain smartphones (among which the Droid Eris, EVO 4G and Droid Incredible) while there was another version with the same build number for another set of devices (among which the Desire HD and Desire Z). As of the current 3.0.5511 version, HTC seems to have unified Android smartphone support so that the new software is compatible with all of the manufacturer’s devices running Google’s mobile platform.

According to the official description, “You can use HTC Sync™ to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your phone. It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your phone”. Other than the global HTC Android support, there’s no change log for the application but nevertheless, if you want to run the latest version, head over to HTC’s support website and download your copy for free.
