Yonhap News, the official news agency of South Korea, is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S 2 (or S2, or neither), a.k.a GT-i9100, will be revealed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. The report claims that the handset is powered by a dual-core processor (likely Orion), as tipped by insider Eldar Murtazin, features a Super AMOLED Plus display like the Infuse 4G (pictured) and 4G LTE smartphone on Verizon, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Notably, we’d heard much the same earlier last month from a different source, which also had the phone sporting NFC and a gyroscope (very likely considering their added support in Gingerbread.

The original Galaxy S, a four-inch, Hummingbird-powered device with first-gen Super AMOLED display, has proven to be one of Samsung’s biggest all time hits, with ten million sold and counting. We had earlier speculated that a device recently receiving Bluetooth certification, the SCH-i559, will in fact turn out to be Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S successor: a Fascinate 2, as it were.
