Netflix For Android Exists On Verizon’s LG Revolution

We just mentioned Netflix for Android was promised for early 2011 with the occasion of the Hulu Plus news we brought you and it looks like it really exists.

Back in November last year, Greg Peters from Netflix development said that “the lack of a generic and complete platform security and content protection mechanism available for Android” were the main reasons the application is not yet available. Without any announcement being made, Netflix for Android just popped-up out of nowhere on a brand new LG Revolution device headed to Verizon. There is no demo of the app yet, just a mention at 0:47 in the video below courtesy of UnwiredView. Don’t forget to take a look at our LG Revolution hands-on video!
