Sony Xperia X10 Not Getting Froyo

According to a report from XperiaX10.net, Sony Ericsson UK has some bad news for all Xperia X10 and X8 owners: you’re not getting Froyo, or anything beyond. You’re stuck with Android 2.1.

But it’s not all bad news. The phones will continue to get smaller updates such as the multi-touch upgrade we mentioned before.

Additionally, Timescape and Mediascape have reportedly been decoupled from the OS, which should ensure that updates will be much easier, and hopefully more timely. New Xperia phones will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread from the factory.
