HTC and Verizon Officially Announce Thunderbolt

HTC claims that the Thunderbolt is not your “dream phone, but the one after that”, and, well, you be the judge on whether that is true. The Thunderbolt is HTC’s first LTE phone, though certainly not their first 4G standard (the EVO 4G took that crown). The hardware is very similar to the Desire HD with a 4.3″ WVGA display, 1GHz CPU, and 512MB of RAM. It adds a front facing camera. The software will allow you to do LTE sharing with up to eight devices. It features the latest version of the Sense interface, which features some pretty fun cloud integration. No word yet on pricing or availability, though Verizon is saying Q1 is a good bet.
