Samsung Infuse 4G Brings 1.2GHz CPU, 4.5-Inch Screen to AT&T
Just a day after we saw it pass through the Bluetooth SIG, Samsung’s Stealth V seems to have been revealed as the Samsung Infuse 4G — and since this is an AT&T-bound handset, it looks like AT&T is indeed following in T-Mobile’s footsteps by classifying its HSPA+ 3.5G network as 4G. Semantics aside, this Galaxy S-branded device is going to be one of the hottest phones on the market when it arrives — date: unknown, but we’d heard February — as it sports a 1.2GHz Hummingbird CPU along with an HTC-killing 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, said to offer better contrast and outdoor readability thanks to 50% more subpixels than the previous generation.
As was previously rumored, Infuse 4G features an eight-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, and was described by Engadget as “crazy thin;” clearly, Samsung and LG see the need to outslim the iPhone even if they can’t yet beat its resolution. Along with the Inspire 4G that we just saw from HTC, AT&T looks like it’s going to have a pretty attractive Android lineup in the coming months.
