Samsung KIES Air Enables WiFi Sync For Galaxy S Devices

Similar to the way Zune software does WiFi sync with Windows Phone 7 devices, the Samsung Galaxy S can now sync wirelessly with your computer given you are using the brand new Samsung KIES Air app.

The software is available on the Samsung App Store on Galaxy S devices and allows computers running the KIES software to access smartphones wirelessly. Both the device and the computer have to be on the same network (just like in the case of LG’s DLNA on the Optimus 7) after which you can check your call logs, text messages, instant messages, watch videos, download pictures and bookmarks from your computer’s browser. Supported web browsers are Internet Explorer 7/8, Firefox 3.6, Google Chrome 8 and Safari5.

Besides content management, it will also allow you to use the full computer keyboard for typing quickly, say text messages, on your Galaxy S. Let us know of your thoughts if you took it for a spin!
