Conan O’Brien Live-Tweets His Show From a BlackBerry Torch

In a bit of shameless promotion, AT&T teamed-up with Conan O’Brien to show off the BlackBerry Torch 9800 during Tuesday night’s show, with Conan tweeting live throughout the broadcast.

From his TeamCoco twitter account, O’Brien sent out dozens of tweets during the east-coast TBS broadcast of Conan. Aware of how his fanbase might respond to such blatant advertising for the Torch, O’Brien and sidekick Andy Richter hammed it up to the point of absurdity, mugging for the camera with their smartphones and extolling the virtues of AT&T’s network.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a celebrity embrace a BlackBerry as part of a performance; will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas has been using his BlackBerry to integrate audience-created lyrics into a freestyle rap.

While tweeting to his followers, O’Brien was able to respond directly to a few lucky fans, and kept pace with updates throughout the show. Check out some clips from the broadcast below:
