Samsung Breaking World Record With 10M Galaxy S Units Sold?
Samsung announced that it became the first ever smartphone manufacturer to sell two million Galaxy S units in its homeland since the Korean release in June 25.
Back at the end of October, when the manufacturer published its Q3 2010 results, Samsung aimed to sell another 3 million units in Q4 2010, targeting the 10 million sales figure. Currently, there are over 9.3 million Galaxy S units sold worldwide (and counting) so the Korean smartphone manufacturer is close to setting a world record with the first Android powered smartphone to ever sell 10 million units. Besides the great looks and hardware, the handset enjoys huge popularity with nearly every carrier having it or a variant in its line-up. There were some hick-ups related to Android 2.1 shipped with the device as well as some Froyo updates but the device was an overall success
