Verizon Motorola Droid X Running Gingerbread (Video)
Verizon’s Motorola Droid X has been captured on video running the latest version of Google’s mobile platform, Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The build looks to be a pre-alpha version with number VZW-TestKeys-280657 and the baseband running is BP_C_01.09.07P. In the video there’s also reference to MOTOBLUR which seems to have a way lower role in this build, running as a background service that acts as an interface to Google Apps. Unfortunately, due to the low framerate the video has been recorded, we can’t get a real sense on how Gingerbread operates on the Droid X, especially the animations, but it’s good to know that somewhere in the future, Verizon will offer an upgrade to the platform to its users.
The Droid X sports a 1GHz OMAP 3630 processor, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 4.3-inch WVGA+ screen (854 x 480), WiFi, CDMA with EVDO Rev A, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GPS, 8-megapixel camera with dual led flash and 720p video recording capability as well as a microHDMI type D connector for video-out.
