T-Mobile Motorola Defy Can’t Defy Rooting

Available since November 2010, the Motorola Defy isn’t particularly noteworthy for its speed, nor would you consider it a “high end” device. The Defy is, however, particularly rugged. It’s been able to withstand up to three-feet of water, works fine in a sandstorm, and can handle even the most clumsy user with ease. It’s all but drop-proof, and with its 3.5-inch gorilla glass touchscreen, it’s pretty scratch resistant as well.

The only thing missing has been the ability to root the little bugger — but not any more!

Head over to the thread and get to rooting! The instructions are very clearly laid out and, although somewhat technical, shouldn’t be too difficult to follow. Let me know how it goes, and what you plan to do with your new-found, rooted freedom!
