Verizon Details 4G LTE 12/5 Kick-off, Pricing and Availability

Just as the teaser said 4G LTE was coming in December, Verizon published its 4G LTE kick-off plans, namely 38 markets — including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles — and 60 airports going live this Sunday, December 5, as we initially posted.

As far as pricing is concerned, you’ll get 5GB for $50 per month and 10GB for $80 per month with everything beyond being billed at $10/GB. 4G speeds will be available initially with the LG VL600 USB modem – available at launch, and the Pantech UML290 available soon, but we’re more interested in what devices will Verizon bring to its line-up — we’ve heard about the HTC Incredible HD, the LG Android handset and the “delayed due to LTE radio” HTC Merge — to take advantage of speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.
