Rovio: No Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 This Year

We couldn’t help but wonder about #angrybirdsday and what exactly is it that popular Angry Birds developer Rovio will announce in Redmond on December 11, besides Angry Birds Christmas Edition.

While we still might witness a Windows Phone 7 announcement, Rovio has just tweeted that such a version will not arrive this year as it “takes a lot of work to do WP7”. We heard Windows Phone 7 development is easier than Android so is Rovio just sitting back and waiting to see how the platform and its popularity evolves before making a Windows Phone 7 version or is it all tied up with the Christmas Edition plans? Nevertheless, they say the “main reason is not WP7 itself, it’s just different”. Thoughts anyone?
