We’ve covered Motorola’s launch of the ruggedized Defy in Korea a week ago but it looks like the company is thinking global with the dust, water and scratch resistant phone.

Word is the Motorola Defy will be launching in Australia at the end of November, 30th to be precise, and will be a Telstra exclusive for three months, ending February 28. It will be available on the carrier for $49 on a two-year contract and it will cost $600 outright. As a reminder, the Defy runs Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR 1.5, has an 800MHz processor, 2GB ROM / 512MB RAM, 3.7-inch FWVGA display and a five-megapixel camera, packing also Bluetooth 2.1+ and WiFi b/g/n.
