Edit Your Google Docs From Your Android (Update)

We’ve been able to read Gmail, chat with Google Talk, schedule appointments with Google Calendar, and even make phone calls with Google Voice from our Android-powered phones for quite a while now. What we haven’t been able to do is edit our Google Docs.

Today there still isn’t an app to let you do that, but if you point your browser to docs.google.com you can now view and edit your documents.

How does it work? Not too bad, but I’d still like to see a dedicated app that will sync my docs so I can view and edit them offline when I don’t have a data connection available. For now, this will do.

Update: Just to clarify, this functionality is coming to both Froyo-powered handsets as well as iPhones running iOS 3.0 or higher.
