White Sprint EVO 4G Now Available Everywhere

While the wait for a white iPhone 4 drags on, Sprint customers have had their headlining smartphone, HTC’s EVO 4G, available in white since Best Buy started carrying the alternate color this past July. Though initially exclusive to the store, Sprint has now announced that white EVOs are available through other retailers, as well as the carrier itself.

Originally, the wider availability of the white EVO was supposed to kick in sometime during September, with the Best Buy exclusivity expiring in August. While that arrangement ending up lasting longer than expected, the reigns are now off and you can find white EVOs pretty much anywhere you’d find Sprint phones.

Just like the standard EVO 4G, its ivory-toned incarnation features a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU running the latest Android 2.2. For media playback, its kickstand keeps the 4.3-inch screen propped up at nice viewing angle, and a forward-facing camera lets you take advantage of the speedy 4G connection to make some video calls. Prices for the white EVO remain unchanged since it was at Best Buy; with a two-year contract and $100 rebate, the phone will set you back almost $200.
