Add Some Cyanogen Bacon to your T-Mobile G2

Those of you who remember when the Nexus One first came out may remember Cyanogen, the developer behind the now infamous CyanogenMod custom ROM, coming out with “Bacon”. Bacon wasn’t a full-blown custom ROM, it was a collection of tweaks, hacks, and goodies to start pushing what the Nexus One could do.

With today’s announcement of a permanent root solution for the T-Mobile G2 Cyanogen has put together a set of goodies he’s calling “Bacon Bits for the G2”.

Here’s what he has to say:

Add some bacon to your G2!

* Kernel with overclocking and lots of goodies – https://github.com/CyanogenMod/htc-kernel-vision (oc from coolbho3000, install SetCPU to use it)

* Notification lights fix – flash speaker LED for notifications

* Set ro.secure=0

* Add Superuser from ChainsDD

* Busybox

What’s especially cool? With bits running and everything cranked up, Cyanogen is reporting scores North of 2,300 in Quadrant. Wow!
