HTC looks to be on a winning streak after its Q3 2010 profit almost doubled compared to Q3 2009 as the Taiwanese company revealed in a Friday statement that Q4 2010 revenues will reach T$100 billion ($3.3 billion).

On the unit shipment side, the Company declared that their 2010 numbers – 24.5 million units – more than doubled compared to last year’s and after only a short three-year stand-alone brand history, the Taiwanese company is a major player in the smartphone manufacturing business. Adopting Google’s Android platform was a key in this success given the popularity of the operating system – HTC said it expects Android to keep gaining share rapidly – and with a new Windows Phone 7 line-up the numbers might continue growing but the rate of growth is expected to have a lower curve as more and more competitors are releasing new models.
