Acer Liquid Metal Reviewed Early [Update: UK Price Announced]

We’ve seen the first Acer Liquid Metal pictures leak from Russia at the beginning of September and more recently we’ve seen the device passing FCC with support for AT&T bands. Today we’re presented a thorough review of the device (looks like the first one that’s extensive and somehow jumped the gun) which also arrives from Russia.

According to the review, the handset packs an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor, 384 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, microSD slot for extended memory, 3.6-inch WVGA screen, 5-megapixel HD recording capable camera with autofocus, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth, 1500mAh battery and running Android 2.2 Froyo. The device is said to be available in Russia starting January 2011 and according to the reviewer, the handset is beautiful and stylish – due to the combination of metal and plastic used as materials – with a high quality screen and Dolby Mobile support to improve sound quality as well as DivX plus tons of apps. Acer’s own UI in version 4.0 looks good on the Liquid Metal which is rumored to hit shelves in Russia for approximately $550. Read the full review by clicking the source link!

Update: Acer has meanwhile made the Liquid Metal official with the specs and the new Breeze UI plus the SocialJogger app that integrates with Twitter and Facebook. It will arrive to UK in the brown color starting mid November for £299 ($475) with a silver version announced for early December.
