If you have a computer, you most definitely heard about VLC Media Player and if you have an iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS, you’ll be glad to hear that VLC Media Player for your iPhone is now available with an update in the iTunes App Store for free.

The current version 1.1.0 as of today, October 25, is iOS 4 tested and brings a feature which allows users to delete files from within the application, without having to go through iTunes. For those of you who don’t know about the software, it’s a media player with in-built codecs which will basically play (almost) everything you throw at it and it does that while remaining Open Source. Head over to the App Store, try it out and leave us a comment on how it works!
