Samsung Galaxy S Froyo Pulled, Coming to UK Early November
It’s not even been a week since we reported the beginning of Samsung Galaxy S Android 2.2 Froyo update rollout starting in the Nordic region and expanding gradually to the rest of the world, available through Samsung’s proprietary Kies upgrade system.
While everyone expected the update’s availability in other regions, Samsung seems to have pulled the update from its servers without offering a comment on its actions. We might only suspect that there were some problems regarding the build since some early adopters have reported lags, slowdowns and some bugs but today’s action from Samsung’s side could also be a strategic one as Samsung planned the update for all European countries at the same time and somehow the Nordic region got there ahead.
According to a recent Samsung Mobile UK tweet, “the Froyo upgrade will be available in the UK from early November and we expect all operator versions to be available by the end of November”, which is more than one month late to another Samsung Mobile UK tweet that announced the update for the end of September.
