Twitter for Android Updated

The Twitter client for Android just got an update! It’s just a point-revision (now at 1.04) and Twitter is being fairly quiet about this update. They haven’t even mentioned it on their own blog.

So, what’s changed? For starters the bird and animated clouds on the main screen are gone. They’ve been replaced by a couple new buttons: Search and Trends.

Also, the icons on the home screen seem to have been polished a bit, and look a little crisper and more refined. Other than the home screen changes there isn’t much else to report.

The Twitter app and corresponding service are both free. The app is available in the Market for users of Android 2.x and above. On a side note, the aforementioned animations were only visible by Android 2.2 users.
