Napster App Now Available For iOS; 10 Million Songs For $10 A Month

It seems like it was yesterday when the fastest internet speeds you could get were 64 Kbps over a land line, Napster was your way of getting pretty much any song you wanted through doubtful (err pirate) P2P methods, and each song would take around 30mins to download. Ten years later, Napster now belongs to Best Buy and is a whole different animal all together.

Sort of like the Zune Pass service you already know, Napster gives you a subscription service where you pay $10 a month and you can stream and cache any of the 10 Million songs on their list. Yeah, you guessed it, this also includes offline listening too. With this new iOS App, they finally expand this subscription model to the mobile market, which is a welcomed addition since there pretty much aren’t many similar options for iOS devices.

Some of the features include:

• Save songs, albums, and playlists to play even when you’re offline

• Kick back with playlists, recommendations, and Billboard® charts dating back to 1955

• Create your own playlists for a customized listening experience

• Save your last 100 songs played so you can easily replay favorites

• Automix your favorite song to create an instant playlist blending similar artists

The app is free here in iTunes, though remember the service is not, but you can go for a free trial and decide if it’s worth the 10 bucks a month.
