After teasing a binary announcement earlier in the day, T-Mobile USA has made good and announced the T-Mobile G2 made by HTC as a stock Android 2.2 phone with quick keys that are customizable as well as HSPA+ support. The device is expected to be available for pre-order later this month, though the carrier has yet to release pricing nor availability information.

Also unknown on the device is whether the 3.7-inch display will be of SLCD (Super LCD) or AMOLED technology. The device will have an 800 MHz CPU to power Google Android 2.2 Froyo with Adobe Flash 10.1 Mobile loaded. It will also have a 5-megapixel camera that’s capable of 720p HD video capture, 4 GB of on-board memory and preloaded with an 8 GB memory card with support for a 32 GB memory card, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. It will also sport a sliding QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode with offset, individual keys.

The handset is rumored to be priced at $200.
