Sprint EVO 4G Back Online This Week, Epic 4G Manual Out
Sprint will begin selling its popular, first-generation WiMax handset, the HTC EVO 4G, online once again early next week, according a tweet from the company’s official Twitter account. EVO has proved to be in high demand since its early June release, regularly selling out online only to be restocked days or weeks later. Potential customers may have more success finding the mammoth slab at a local brick-and-mortar store, some of which still reportedly have the device in stock.
Now that Sprint is on the verge of releasing its second WiMax-capable smartphone, the QWERTY-packing Samsung Galaxy S variation known as the Epic 4G, it’s not clear if EVO will continue to get snatched up at such a torrid pace. Plus, the oversized slab market is quickly becoming more crowded with such devices as Verizon’s Motorola Droid X, not to mention the high-end Android piece from HTC that we spotted yesterday.
Speaking of the Epic, its user manual has leaked just days before the official Sprint launch, giving likely owners some germaine reading material to pass the time until Tuesday.
