Twozaic Windows Phone 7 Twitter Client
Unfortunately, the highly anticipated mobile Operating System from Microsoft just around the corner, does not – at least not according to the prerelease versions we’ve seen so far – offer Twitter integration. We might or we might not see this in the final version to hit the markets but we know the developers out there are coding Twitter clients for Windows Phone 7.
One such Twitter client is Twozaic, a complex application following the Metro UI guidelines to the letter – and thus looking sleek – bringing some new features to the table as far as the Twitter experience is concerned. Twozaic comes with a “cloud view”, a representation of the latest 20 tweets grouped by importance decided by the number of followers and whether the persons are Favorites or not. This screen only allows replies and retweets as well as link to a detailed tweet view containing hashtags, mentions, links, that then can be clicked on. For other actions one has to swype to the next screen which triggers a 3D page turn animation.
Reloading the timeline or accessing other functionalities can be achieved by tapping the “…” in the application bar where you can also compose a new tweet which can contain pictures already on your device or those taken with the camera. The picture upload services supported are TwitPic, TweetPhoto and YFrog. In the current stage of the development, Twozaic also supports multiple Twitter accounts which is a nice addition especially useful for people that need to manage a business and a personal account or any other multiple account scenarios.
While hoping for a video demonstration of Twozaic soon, we are looking forward to seeing this application on a final release of Windows Phone 7. What do you think of Twozaic so far?
