Google’s Chrome to Phone Makes Its Way to iOS/iPhone

We’ve previously shared Chrome to Phone for Android, which allows users to share links, phone numbers, and URLs between the desktop Google Chrome browser and the Android-based Webkit browser. Now, with Chrome extensions, Chrome to Phone is headed to tackle iOS devices, which includes the likes of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The iOS version, developed by tomlerendu.com, is limited to just URLs, however, and “lets you a link to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with one click.”

How it works is that you install the extension, found on the Chrome to Phone page, on your desktop Chrome browser, and according to Gizmodo, “then visit a URL on your iPhone or iPad or iPod touch browser. You save that URL to your home page as an icon, so that every time you do a “Chrome to phone”, you can hit that URL and it’ll redirect you to whatever it is you were viewing on the browser.”
