Android Honeycomb Promises Minor Updates to Gingerbread

With still not much confirmed details about Android 3.0 Gingerbread from Google and a looming rumored release date of around the holidays–quite fitting considering the name–we’re now hearing of Gingerbread’s rumored successor, Android Honeycomb, a minor release to Gingerbread. Honeycomb will probably be a point release and will most likely get a designation like Android 3.1, and promises to bring minor updates to the Gingerbread build, much like how Android 2.2 Froyo was a minor update to Android 2.1 Eclair.

Not much information is known about Gingerbread nor Honeycomb at this time, other than the names.
