HTC Wildfire Hardware Overview (Video)
The HTC Wildfire has been described by many as a miniature-sized cross between the Nexus One and the HTC Desire. As previously mentioned, HTC has targeted the masses with this device by making it very affordable. The shell of the device is much like the Nexus One in its combination of aluminum and Teflon painted plastic. Quite obviously, the overall design of this device is not lacking, despite its low price point.
On the spec side of things, the HTC Wildfire is accompanied with a 528MHz processor and 384MB of RAM. Based on the current generation of Android smartphones, these specs are a bit behind.
The Wildfire is also equipped with a 3.2″ QVGA capacitive screen with a 320 x 240 resolution. You’ll also find Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, and GPS here. This device stays somewhat current with its 5-megapixel camera. Unfortunately, the low screen resolution makes it hard to tell just how good the picture looks on the device itself. Lastly, the Wildfire greatly impresses with a 1300mAh battery rated at providing an 8-hour talk time.
