Windows Phone 7 Will Support Some Advanced Bing Features

There are a lot of extremely cool features in the desktop browser version of Bing. Unfortunately most of those cool features have never made it to mobil devices. It looks like Microsoft is working on changing that for Windows Phone 7’s Bing integration.

The Bing Community Blog has posted some screenshots of a few of the cool features you’ll see on upcoming Windows Phone 7 devices. One that I love is “weather”. Simply type (or speak??) “Weather” and Bing will return weather results. I wish it was even more like the desktop Bing which will actually show you weather results from 3 different weather sites so you can compare.

Flight status checking is a great addition as well. This was one of my feature requests to the Bing Mobile team last year. Being able to quickly and easily get flight status updates right inside Bing will be very useful for travellers.

Restaurant review integration is great to have as well, but this is nothing new.

If you like what you see, but are still wishing for more Bing features to make it into Windows Phone 7, feel free to send feedback directly to the Bing Mobile team.
