HTC Desire HD to Debut in October With 4.3-Inch Display?

HTC may be releasing an updated version of the HTC Desire come this October if rumors hold true. The Android handset, dubbed the HTC Desire HD, will combine the best features of the HTC Legend, the HTC EVO 4G, and the HTC Desire. Previously rumored as the HTC Ace, the Desire HD will come in GSM flavor, though it may not arrive on any of the big four US carriers as none of the major national carriers has adopted the original HTC Desire.

The HTC Ace/Desire HD will utilize a unibody aluminum design borrowed from the Legend, the large 4.3-inch display from the HTC EVO 4G at WVGA resolution, and will support a number of multimedia features, including SRS Surround Sound, Xvid video decoding, and 720p HD video recording.
