Samsung Galaxy S Video Out Through Audio Port
It looks like Samsung is going a similar route to what Nokia has been doing for sometime now with its N-Series devices by utilizing the 3.5 mm headphone jack to serve as not only audio out, but also video out. On the Samsung Galaxy S, the 3.5 mm headphone jack can also serve to output video signal and serve as a TV out function.
The TV out on the Samsung Galaxy S can also mirror the display, rather than the crippled TV out on some other Android smartphones where only certain apps–like the Gallery and video apps–worked. On the Galaxy S, you basically will see the entire Android OS experience on your larger screen TV.
For those who prefer a cable-less solution, the Galaxy S also supports DLNA.
