Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 Hardware Tour
In this video we explore the hardware of the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000. The first thing I would have to say is that the phone is thin, light, and extremely fast. This is the first Android device to use Samsung’s new Super AMOLED screen. The screen is a 4 inch capacitive glass display with the resolution of WVGA at 24bit/pixel.
The phone boasts newer technology like the 1 gigahertz Samsung Hummingbird processor, Blue Tooth 3.0, and the Wireless-N band. There is a 5MP camera with the ability to shoot 720p video at 30fps. Unfortunately there is no flash on this phone, which to me was sort of a disappointment. Call quality is clear and undistorted.
The Samsung Galaxy S is going to set the bar for screen technology. Mobile phones, computers, and TV manufacturers will strive to adopt the Super AMOLED innovation in the near future. All-in-all the hardware is just plain fast. For more detailed specifications visit pdadb. There are two versions of this phone available, an 8GB and a 16GB. At&t and T-Mobile have started to release images of their variants the Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant.
