BlackBerry App World 2.0 will get released sometime this summer and looks to be running pretty smooth and stable when RIM showed off its next-generation mobile applications marketplace last night at the San Francisco BlackBerry App World event. The new App World 2.0 brings a host of new features that consumers will welcome and will make it easy for users to switch and upgrade BlackBerry smartphones, including a common log-in so you can login with one ID and download the apps that you had previously purchased, multiple payment and billing methods now supported, and the ability to sideload apps as well as purchase apps on the desktop via a browser. Also, developers can embed QR codes and consumers will have the ability to scan those codes to go straight to the app to download in App World 2.0.

BlackBerry users can expect App World 2.0 to hit in the coming months.
