HTC Droid Incredible, EVO 4G Has Unresponsive Screens on “Ungrounded” Surfaces

The latest video tests on YouTube shows a user demonstrating an issue with HTC’s latest crop of Android handsets experiencing unresponsive screens when it is used or placed on an ungrounded surface. According to the video maker, an ungrounded surface is one that does not “have pass any type of electrical charge” and could pose a “huge issue when attempting to use the phone in a car dock for navigation or other purposes.”

In my experience with the HTC Droid Incredible, I do notice that the screen does become unresponsive even while holding the device. Turning the screen on/off quickly a few times does seem to resolve the issue, however, to bring the screen back to life, but it can be rather frustrating to constant try to swipe to unlock the Incredible to no avail.
