LG GD910 Watch Phone Unboxing

Yes, this is a watch phone, and it’s really cool technology. Not only can this watch make voice calls, but it can make video calls if you live where over-the-network video chat is supported (certainly not here in the US). This cool piece of technology shows us how far we’ve come in the miniaturization of electronics. It has a capacitive touchscreen, Bluetooth, 2GB of internal memory, plus quadband GSM and single-band UMTS (yes, this thing has 3G!).

So far I’ve installed my SIM card from AT&T and have successfully made a call. I’ve also taken some photos with the camera. Beyond that, I’m still trying to learn how to use the thing. Look for more videos soon.

If you want a watch phone of your own, they’re expensive. You can grab one over at Negri Electronics for nearly $1,000.
