HD2 with Sliding Keyboard Coming Soon?

We’ve been waiting for the HTC HD2 Pro, that is, an HD2 with a slide-out keyboard, ever since the original was released last year. It looks like HTC may be working on such a device, called the Leo-S, thanks to some clues found in the registry of a ROM by XDA user Xmoo:

Contained in registry keys in the ROM, it makes mention of a HTC Leo-S with the right registry keys for a slide-out QWERTY device (having said that, current HTC HD2 ROMs contain the same registry keys).

From Xmoo’s Twitter:

HTC LEO-S SPL 3.0 does flash on a HTC HD2! You can revert back to older SPL’s!! Enjoy :-) http://twitpic.com/1vizpv

Leo-S should be a Leo with KEYBOARD (3.01.405.T1), normal @HTC HD2 will get upgrade 1.78.911.1 with OS 5.2.21905.5.0.93

LEO-S “KBDSlideOut_To_Stop_GSensor”=dword:00000001 “IsKBRotateBackPortrait”=dword:00000001

It’s likely that if this device is indeed released, it’s going to be running Windows Phone 7, and not legacy Windows Mobile.
