Follow the World Cup with Pocket WCup for Android

Those of you who don’t know, the World Cup is only days away (that’s “soccer” for us Americans, but “football” for just about the rest of the world).

For those of you who want to keep up on such things you’ll want to check out a cool app from PocketWidget called Pocket WCup.

This app will keep you up-to-date with access to latest news, background and game results, includes a complete game calendar, shows real-time player rankings and team line ups, and provides live stats (game, goals, and cards).

Between games you can dig into World Cup history going back to 1930:

– Results for every match.

– Stats for players, teams, referees from every World Cup.

– Compare stats for players and teams from any World Cup.

– Data on Coaches, Referees and Stadiums.

– Complete calendars, locations, maps for all stages.

Connect to all Google Map locations.

– The best goals in history in animated 3D graphics.

– Player, Coach, Referee picture galleries.

– Flags and uniforms.

Pocket WCup includes support for English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and German. Pocket WCup comes in a free “lite” version and a “pro” version that costs €2.99.
