A CDMA Nexus One Will Never be Released
This is what happens when a firm moves a bit too slowly in bringing a product to market. First, Google canned the Verizon version of the Nexus One, citing the Droid Incredible as the reason for them not moving forward with the release. Quite simply, the likelihood of a Verizon customer choosing the Nexus One over the Droid Incredible would be quite low. Now, close to the launch of the most highly anticipated Android device yet, the EVO 4G on Sprint, we’re hearing that the Sprint Nexus One has been canned as well. Hopefully we learn from Google in the near future about the next evolution of the Nexus series, or perhaps the Nexus One has provided enough stimulus to Android awareness (as was arguably the intent behind the Nexus One) that they’ll move slowly towards the next release.
