Samsung Galaxy S Commercial
It looks like Samsung is now airing some Galaxy S commercials for its Android-based smartphone with the company’s custom TouchWiz UI and a book reader to make it competitive with the emerging digital books market that has hit the iPhone (Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and soon iBooks). The company is following the day in the life theme that was used in the device’s unveiling at CTIA–that theme depicts how the Galaxy S can be used for work, play, and home throughout a person’s busy life.
The Galaxy S is scheduled for release this summer and although Samsung didn’t announce a launch carrier, the device is rumored to be landing on all four major US carriers, a step that the Google Nexus One missed as the Nexus One was cancelled at the last minute for Verizon Wireless.
The Galaxy S is said to have one of the most powerful 1 GHz CPU on the market. That chip is based on the Hummingbird ARM-based design, which Apple dubbed as the A4 chip in its iPad. Subsequently, Apple had snapped up Intrinsity, the company behind the Hummingbird and A4 ARM designs.
