Microsoft KIN Data Plans Revealed for Verizon Wireless by Google Cache
An unearthed Google cache code reveals what may be two pricing models for the data plan for the Microsoft KIN–Windows Phone’s newest sibling–which is set to debut on Verizon Wireless sometime next month in May. The social media and sharing-centric devices (there is a KIN One and KIN Two) will either be available with a basic plan or a premium plan if the Google cache information holds true at launch date.
The basic plan features unlimited text and contact backup. The premium plan adds on more minutes, an expanded data plan–which we take to mean unlimited web access, and access to the KIN Studio, which serves as a backup for contacts, messages, call logs, photos, and videos and allows users to continue their phone experience with sharing and uploading to social networking sites on the desktop.
There was no mention for Vodafone’s pricing scheme. The KIN devices will launch first on Verizon Wireless in May and an international launch with carrier partner Vodafone will happen later this year.
