Video: HTC HD Mini Unboxing

The HTC HD Mini is positioned as the little brother of the HD2. It’s for people that want an experience similar to the best-selling HD2 but without the huge form factor. Though oddly, there aren’t many similarities between the two devices. Sure, they both have multitouch capacitive touchscreens (which is unique to the world of Windows Mobile), but the software is different and the hardware bears virtually no similarities. The HD Mini is actually the first Windows Phone to ship with 6.5.3, which features a bunch of new features like tap and hold to re-arrange Start menu icons, plus a thinner notification bar at the top.

In this video we unbox the new HD Mini and do a brief hardware tour. If you’re looking to grab an HD Mini for yourself, they’re now shipping at Clove for £275 or $425, which is pretty reasonable for a new unlocked Windows Phone.
