Windows Mobile Folding Keyboard and Smartphone Concept Design

Designer Yang Yongchang made a Windows Mobile smartphone with a folding keyboard attached to it. The concept was recently featured over at Yanko Design and features a large capacitive touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, desktop-sized folding QWERTY keyboard that will make this “smartbook” rival a netbook experience, and instead of a nubby trackstick of IBM laptops of yore, the concept integrates what appears to be a red trackball into the keyboard, presumably to save on space. While the concept looks great in this laptop/netbook-like format, we would love to see it embellished and modified so that you can fold the screen back and use it just in tablet mode when you’re on the go and not sitting at a desk, which is where the folding keyboard comes out.
