Opera Mobile 10 Demoed on Android Google Nexus

Opera has made some great mobile browsers for smartphones and feature phones–there’s Opera Mobile 10 for Windows Mobile and Opera Mini for many different platforms–and now the browser-maker is targeting Android. Opera Mobile 10 was recently shown off running on the Google Nexus One, which runs Android 2.1.

Unfortunately, though, it seems that Opera Mobile 10 for Android will not be available for consumers to download. Rather, Opera is offering the browser as a package for OEMs and equipment makers should they wish to pre-load Opera Mobile 10 into their Android handsets. On the Windows Mobile side, many companies–like HTC–have opted to work out a deal with Opera to pre-bundle Opera Mobile for Windows phones. However, with Windows Mobile, consumers can also download and install Opera Mobile–and Opera Mini–if they so choose if either those aren’t pre-loaded on their Windows phone.

Opera Mini is available in the Android Market for those running Android who wish to download that browser.
