TouchXperience Interface Overhauled and Demoed

TouchXperience is a UI project that’s been in development for over a year. It promised a finger friendly design with features like a program launcher, Start menu integration, and plug-in for Xbox Live – to name a few. Due to constant delays and lack of updates on its progress, many believed the project was prematurely axed. However, judging by a newly released video demonstration, we can see that the project is still in active development. In fact, compared to an older demo clip, it has clearly received a major overhaul with new features and eye candy.

The latest demo reveals a very pretty interface with customizable 3D animated transitions. It looks like it sports a program launcher, recent activity screen, notifications menu, system settings menu, task manager, Xbox Live plug-in, accelerometer scrolling, multi-touch support, and custom menus that can be assigned to hard keys.

Beta testers can finally expect a preview of TouchXperience sometime next month and new videos should be released in the coming weeks as well. You can track progress of TouchXperience at the developer’s website.
